That is a fascinating story.
What I think, is, that it is man-made, and engineered, and of earthly origin, since I find it difficult to believe that we have visitors here. We may have in the ancient past, as the cave drawings show flying saucer like discs....
They hide all their experimental aircraft in places like Area 51, and once in a while they let it become known, like they did with the Stealth bomber.
I do think that if we had been visited, or we Are being visited, that everyone on earth would know about it.
I know there's been a lot of hype about this over the years....but have you ever read "Communion" by Whitley Strieber? After I put the book down, I decided to myself that he is a very good story teller, or he is delusional. And there may be some psychological problems there, with the anal fixation. I felt disturbed about his book...not that aliens are kidnapping and having anal sex with humans, but I was genuinely feeling concern that Whitley has some deep psychological issues, possibly damage. From who or what, who knows.
I do think that you saw what you said you saw. The fear and unknown nature of the incident comes through in the emotion of the story.
But, I believe it is man-made. Who knows what they are conjuring up these days? I have seen the flying saucer shaped craft they have been working on.
Just because I am a non-believer in that we are being visited, I still respect the fact that I may be wrong and there is some kind of interaction with alien species here on earth.
Interesting article, thanks for sharing it here. ;D

Well Ill share this with you, something I have not shared with them.
While I was driving along that country road in thick fog it seemed as though time was somehow distorted. The distance is no more than 2 miles but to me it seemed like a good twenty to thirty minute drive to were the road made the abrupt 90 degree turn. This upset me as I realize fog can seriously disorient you but I know I I wasn't disoriented.
I now have read all Jacque Vallees books on UFO encounters. In fact when I read that in most cases he has investigated there is a pure distortion of time by most witnesses I nearly fell over as I have been telling my family this since day one. If that be the case then my belief is we are dealing with something acting outside our understanding of physics.

Maybe "they" are operating outside of our *disclosed* understanding of physics.

Well the other thing Shewolf I have pondered is why you would want to fly this thing along back roads of Southern Ontario in bad weather in visibly of perhaps 100 to 200 feet at most. The consequences of an accident would certainly blow ones cover along with the liability that comes with this.
I have thought about my encounter for years and tried to rationalize the logic and consequences of this and I have no explanation.

This is an interesting story. Since I have a somewhat linear mind, I do lean toward the belief that at least much of the UFO encounters are extraterrestrial. I'm far more skeptical of the Vallee arguments of spirital/dimensional encounters. Whitley Strieber himself seems to agree with Jaques Vallee.
I can't take a position on Strieber's own claims, but you need to keep in mind that guests in his old cabin in upstate New York also reported encounters. I also need to remember that he was a fairly successful horror novelist before he wrote "Communion." And, while "Communion" was financially successful for him, his follow-up books weren't and his obsession with the subject led to his near financial ruin.
I have no doubt that many of the UFO encounters are ours. This would especially be true of the craft Art Bell saw and that so many others report seeing. The maddening thing is that the technology might very well have the potential to solve all our energy problems, yet is withheld from us, probably because of the potential for weapons development.
As for this encounter, it seems as if you may have some "missing time."
I don't pay much attention to UFO stories anymore unless they are of such a personal account. I haven't become overly skeptical, but it's just that we seem to be at an impasse. When there are so few new developments in the field, it begins to bore me.

Whitley he's a graduate for the "Secret School" you know, and is in "Communion" union with THEM! He's a big prophet making profit and making new products all the time, help'n Art Bell and others and such that don't have sensitive noeses! I swear Whitley Strieber is god's gift from THEM to UFOlogy, he's a saint! ><Tomasina Chicawolverina!

Yes it is sparsely populated, gently rolling hills with mixed hard wood forests and farms.
Just for the record I'm not trying to convince anyone pro or con. This happened to me which has changed my outlook profoundly.
Hynec of US Air Force Project Blue Book also changed his views to that of Vallee.
I sent Chika a 3D Google Earth Pro picture of were this happened, not far from Delhi Ontario. She can put it up here if she likes.
