This site is really good, it's helped me learn a lot of things, it's even let me be able to take and remove programs that haven't removed their own listed names off of the Add/Remove programs list! windowsxp.mvps.org/index.htmlLots there, and I mean this is the kind of stuff your friends that think they're all that and bigshot UNIX network experts, too good to fool with lowly Windows don't know! Hey, this looks very helpful. I'm going to check it out when I have more time. I have this problem opening more than one window at a time. But what's really interesting is that when I clicked on the link you gave, it opened just fine. It seems that I can't open a new window by clicking on an e-mail link, or even trying to open a new IE window on my own, but when I click on a link from a web site that requires a new window by open, it works! That must be a clue to what's wrong.

Here's an update. I tried downloading the "Windows Errors" software and it seems to have fixed my problem. I can open all the windows I want now in IE, but it's too soon to say whether the fix is permanent. I'll let you know for sure later.

That's great to hear Ricardo, Another thing you might want to give a serious look into is software to unscrew and defrag the Windows Registry, like Uniblue Registry Booster etc. Sometimes things just need a clean out like the temporary cash. You might try these things using the RUN command line off of the Start Menu, and these are recommended for Windows XP only. This one will let you see all the files accumulated in the temp cash, it can slow booting etc. If you delete all the files in it the ones that are needed will simply regenerate on rebooting. %temp% The next one to use is the Prefetch on the RUN command, delete everything in its dir too. prefetch And typing the next one in the RUN command line will bringh up the dos window and you then type "Y" for yes and it will run right after you do your next reboot and then restart the system right after its finished. There are few things that this hasn't failed to solve for me for a while anyway, untill the next time things get in a Windows pretzel. chkdsk c:/f ><Tomasina Chicawolverina!
