This movie is worth some serious scrutiny... video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3369102968312745410 Fitna the Movie: Geert Wilders' film about the Quran (English) Just when you thought it was okay to start letting the guard down, it gives one room to ponder otherwise.

Woah....how can any thinking person not look at that, or see the teachings of such a faith and not question it? How can violence be taught, and worse, the belief that it is the only way, the right way? How can those islamists read that and not see it for the violence it is, and the denial of freedom, and the taking away of rights of women and gay people, and kill them for any slight, made against the name of Allah?
How can they stone a woman for the simple act of a sexual indiscretion and not look at what they are doing and see how wrong it is?
How can they hang people (especially gays) for something that they ARE? They can't help who and what they are. How can they murder someone in cold blood for believing differently than they do?
How can our leaders, Bush and Blair state that they are not at war with islam, that it is okay to teach these barbaric belief systems to impressionable young children? Bush and Blair, et al, have stated that they are not at war with Islam. Why did they do that, when clearly we are, and quite possibly the entire fate of human kind rests on the shoulders of the decisions these leaders make...Islam, and in my opinion, all religions have far too much power and are corrupt, infiltrating our very existences...
Now we are on the brink of bombing an islamic nation....Iran. They will see this as an act of aggression against Islam. An attack from the west will be met with vigorous retaliation, the likes of which we have never seen before....they have promised, and they are prepared to fight back. They have been already digging graves for the American/Israel soldiers that they are prepared to kill in the event of an attack.
The next months will be very interesting, and scary too....because it seems that Bush has already made the decision to attack Iran long ago...the fix is in. Just a matter of days now till it happens.
On the one hand, we must stop Islam...on the other hand, there is no real way to stop it other than turning Iran into a sheet of glass. And even then...Islam cannot be wiped out entirely....since they live among us now.
Religions don't fit the mold of freedom and democracy. Religions are repressive, and controlling, and nothing short of brainwashing of the masses.
How can they chant "death to America" and "Death to freedom", and not know in the back of their mind that it is wrong?

Shewolfe, if Bush bombs Iran, I'm convinced it will be during the two months following the election, but before he leaves office. He would not want it to interfere with the election, and he knows he has no public support for this. He will be at his most dangerous during ths time, knowing he's hated. In his mind, he thinks history may one day vindicate him, and he wants to leave some sort of legacy, no matter how twisted that legacy is.
It really isn't possible for any politician to publically declare a war on Islam itself. There are just too many of them out there, including in the US. That is a matter of education. The best anyone can do is to try and keep the lid on the most radical elements and encourage the rest to be peaceful. There are good Muslims out there who simply need to educate themselves. I've met them, and I simply refuse to believe they all secretly want me dead. I hope I'm right, don't you?

If (when) Bush bombs Iran, the middle east will be reduced to a fireball. Hopefully impeachment happens, that might be the only way to put a stop to Bush once and for all.
I pity America right now, actually, I feel sorry for them, being subjected to Bush for these years and his methods, ideas and strategies...and I also feel sorry for what is coming. It isn't a matter of "if" America is brutally attacked again, but when.
And 8 years of Obama could make things worse, but we will see. I feel certain that Obama will win, that fix is in too.
American's don't stand a chance....no change that I see happening now and/or in the future.
Islam wants to dominate the world, and the west will not allow that to happen, therefore, it is just a matter of time until the super power clash, in a spectacular fashion, a mushroom cloud over American cities, and worse...before this is all over, America and the west might be dealing with something so fierce and ferocious that it cannot fix.
Islam with nukes....now that's a scary thought.
We seem to be on a path....a preset path, one that has been designed, one that has only one outcome that is certain....

I certainly hope you're right and the fix is in for Obama, but never underestimate the Republican hate and spin machine. They win by promoting fear, and that's something they're very good at.
Impeachment won't stop Bush....if hearings begin, it may actually goad him into launching a quicker attack so as to divert attention. There is no time left to remove him, but impeachment hearings could expose things that could lead to future criminal indictment. So, if impeachment begins in earnest, look for a "wag the dog" scenario. Bush may one day face imprisonment, especially if Obama is elected and he appoints John Edwards or Bobby Kennedy Jr as AG. That's the real danger he faces. Impeachement hearings could consitututionally suspend his rights of pardon and that would prevent him from pardoning himself or his cronies.
Thus, impeachment won't remove him from office, but may well lead to his future imprisonment. If McCain is elected, he'll be safe, so look for the Republicans to do anything they can to prevent an Obama presidency.

"They win by promoting fear, and that's something they're very good at."
Exactly. Bush said over and over he is fighting a war on terror....but it isn't a war ON terror, it is a war OF terror. And Bush and his cronies have been peddling fear. Never have I felt so scared than when faced with what Bush has done and will/would/could do...Terror this, terror that....making us all scared...how is that a war on terror? It isn't. It's a war, using terror to force people into submission, into quietly shutting up about the insane things that have gone on since Bush came into office.
Since 9/11, all that we have seen is the promotion of fear....making us all scared, that way they are better able to control us, and we are less likely to revolt in the face of decisions this presidency makes...
If Bush is not made to answer for his misdeeds, and also bringing America into a war based on lies and deception....then all is lost. Bush needs to be made accountable, or there is no such thing as accountability to the people of America.
If Bush cared about America, he would come clean, admit publicly where he went wrong, and apologize for the deception that has led us all into and unjustified war.
One with....no end in sight.

Well now ... I see a couple of other things that haven't been touched on quite yet.
This movie could be used effectively against Senator Obama because -- "His name is *Barack Hussein Obama* and he is a Muslim after all, isn't he? Yah, he says he isn't ... but how can we be sure?"
And the fear escalates.
"Is Islam going to become the religion of the United States?"
"What is Obama's real agenda?"
Whether or not there is an agenda to damage the Obama candidacy, the movie should serve the purpose of heightening our awareness that there are many Islamic fundamentalists that would kill us outright if they had the chance to do so.
Shewolfe mentions the possibility of "Islam with nukes..." It is scary, indeed. Iranian missles that can reach well into Western Europe ... and pick any spot inside Israel. We are teetering folks! On the very edge of an abyss that leads straight into the next world war. The Dog Days of Summer are too hot for this one's comfort.

The good news is....North Korea has conceded and made some kind of deal with the US to dismantle their nuclear weapons programs...
Now if things are going as I suspect, they, meaning the Bush admin is trying to coax Iran into submission, the passive aggressive way....maybe Iran will buckle under the pressure, at least that is the hope.
But, I do not see that happening. As far as Ahmadinejad has stated, he will retaliate on a massive scale if attacked.
This is one acorn we cannot crack.
Iran will do as they please....as long as they are in accordance with the IAEA, and the NPT, they are sitting in a veryb good position.....saber rattling aside.

It would probably be many years before Iran was able to effectively mount a nuclear warhead on a missle with range. And, I do believe they will be bombed if they get close.
They seem to want to talk now. They know how dangerous Bush will be in the next few months simply because he has nothing to lose.
Funny...there are those who fear he would declare martial law and suspend the election, or simply refuse to leave in January. That can't happen, but more than that...I get the distinct impression that he WANTS to leave. And I also predict that once he's gone, you will rarely see him giving speeches or appearing anywhere in public or on TV.
But, one day he may appear in court as a defendant.
