I don't have Obama's text message yet, nor do the 10 million other insiders, but it could come at any moment, or certainly within the next 12 to 24 hours.
He's set to appear in public by tomorrow afternoon in Springfield with his VP pick, who's already been notified.
Hillary has never been vetted, but since she's so "out there," it would not have been necessary. And, I think all the others being speculated on have been a ruse.
Joe Biden would be a good pick, and he has gravitas, but no one can bring the types of needed supporters to the table as Hillary. True, Barack and Hillary are not the best of friends, but they're certainly on far more cordial terms than was JFK and LBJ.
JFK picked LBJ because of his ability to bring southern support. Only half of Hillary's supporters say they're ready support Obama, but if she's on the ticket, it immediately jumps to 95%.
The next few hours could prove me wrong, but I think it's all been about drama and suspense.
Look for the dream ticket to be real by this time tomorrow.
If not, I'll eat chicken. You didn't really think I'd eat crow, did you? I don't even know where to find crow.

However, if you go to www.drudgereport.com he seems to have inside information that Obama/Bayh compaign literature is being printed up. I would not be happy with this pick, if only because if elected, Bayh would be replaced in the Senate by a Republican governor.

Welp...I've got the chicken thawing out. I just heard a news report on the radio that secret service agents have arrived at Joe Biden's home. This means it's Biden.
I would have had chicken tomorrow night anyway...

The chicken is the only thing that tastes good! McO'Biden seems too far to the Lieberman side of a stale 30 year old frosted Twinkie rolled in coconut with Leo Strauss connections that all smell bad! I don't even think he bathes regularly! Gott, this will be the same as McSame! ><Tomasina ChicaWolverina!

Personally, I've always liked Biden. He's really brilliant when you hear him speak, but he does shoot from the hip...or lip. While Barack always takes the high road to a fault, you can expect Joe Biden to go into the attack-dog mode whenever necessary. Sadly, that's needed.
Early on, he did have an interesting solution to Iraq, which was to simply split the country into 3 parts to stem the infighting. That may no longer be necessary, but Biden is well-regarded by the CFR, and that will shore up Barack's perceived lack of expertise.
I hear McSame has also made his pick. Unfortunately, he wrote it down on a slip of paper, and now he can't remember which of his houses he left it in.

Biden's speech was pretty impressive, and he gives great contrast to Obama's "too cool" personna. If you didn't see it, it will be posted on Obama's web site soon.

I wanted to vote for Biden in '88. He would have been a much more viable candidate then than Dukakis. Blah!
After listening to both speeches today, I do believe Obama made the best choice he could have. That ticket will sell well to plenty of undecideds and put it over the top come election day.

Here's a spot where you can watch Biden's speech. See if you can catch the cute little gaff where he refers to Barack as "Barack America!" www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2008/08/elect_obama_to_reclaim_america.htmlRemember, you probably won't get any decent reversals, since it's a prepared speech. I think that's actually an RS validation point, since if it were random noise, you'd get reversals equally well from scripted and unscripted speaking.
