No matter what side you're on, this is a cute video, even with the language! It's by a young Jewish Comedianne named Sarah Silverman, urging young Jewish kids to go visit their grandparents in Florida to urge them to vote for Obama. Even if you don't like Obama, you should get a laugh out of it!

My guess is that this "Joe The Plumber" bloke is nothing more than a patsy-stooge for his rightwing redneck boss. He wanted to show him how he could stand up to "That One". He wants the position and someday the business and there's no daughter involved so he's a stand-in-stooge for his boss. Yes, I'm afraid McCain has hurt himself, but go on John, if it gives you comfort... ><Tomasina ChicaWolverina!

Did you read the fine print at the end?
"Paid for by the Jewish Counsil for education and Research"

Did you read the fine print at the end? "Paid for by the Jewish Counsil for education and Research" Yes, this is good. Too many Jews are afraid Obama is a Muslim and will favor the Arabs, and it's been a hard sell convincing them otherwise. But, to his credit, Obama did state that he believed the true capital of Israel is a UNITED Jerusalem. No other US Politician has been bold enough to state that as far as I can recall. He did have to back off and say, "Well, it's still being negotiated," but at least he said it! The US Emabassy in Israel is still in Tel Aviv. It should be moved to Jerusalem and placed on the exact line between East and West in order to firmly establish the fact that the city can never again be divided and is the eternal capital of Israel.

I mean he's parroting his boss... But, God shut up! Don't you guys know that O'Bama is the blue turbaned Antichrist, it wasn't supposed to be revealed until after the inauguration though! ><Tomasina ChicaWolverina!

Funny...I'm sure you meant to type "revealed," Chica, but "reviled" might be some sort of Freudian Slip!

Colin Powell endorsed Obama this morning. And you know it's not about race! This is going to be powerful if there's enough coverage.
Here's my take: Powell lost a lifetime of respect and credibility he'd built up when he presented false information to the UN that Bush used as a pretext for war. I don't believe he would ever have intentionally lied at such a crucial time, but I do beleive he was deliberately set up by Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfield to take the fall. He won't say this, but I think he knows he was set up. That's why he resigned at the end of Bush's first term, being replaced as Secretary of State by a woman Bush was apparently having an affair with.
He tried to give McSame a fair shot, but when he stared employing all of Bush's campaign organizers and strategy into his approach, it was all over. The "Bill Ayers" robo-calls were obviously the last straw.

Yes indeed, and I'm so glad he did this for his country! Rico, I hated that SNL with Palin on it, it ruined it, especially too because of the actor that played W was on and they didn't do anything with that role or do any McCain skits! What happened, did Canadian Lorne Michaels wake up very recently with a bloody horse head under the sheets with him or something? And Rico, and so what is the truth about Bill Clinton being an illegitimate great grandson of FDR? There's so many much more talented, deserving blacks they could have as a cast member than that Tracy Morgan pokeface hood! ><Tomasina ChicaWolverina!

I've never seen Tracy Morgan, but who is the black guy...or is he even black?...that does Barack on SNL? He's got his mannerisms down, but he never smiles. Barack seems to win people over with his smiles, even when he's being attacked. McCain couldn't shake him.
I saw "W" just yesterday. Josh Brolin does a great job, but the story ends just before the 2004 elections. If the movie had been 1/2 hour longer, they could have worked in the Katrina mess, which is where his approval ratings really started going South. Stone ended it too soon, don't you think?

Kenan Thompson, not Tracy Morgan is who I meen! The actor that does all the O'Bama roles is that doll Daniel Jason Sudeikis, god he's the funniest thing they've had since the best of the Chris Kattan days. I found this site, I loved the header: Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying - "You can’t fight in here….this is the War Room!!” www.docstrangelove.com/2008/10/16/john-mccain-implodes/><Tomasina ChicaWolverina!

You know Rick statements like that really do read bias. Are you saying the Brits, Canucks, Israeli's and others are not capable of carrying out their own intelligence. They totally are and agreed with US intelligence. Powell is pissed he was hung out to dry but birds of a feather really do flock together. Bush is an idiot. God help us as Obama and McCain cannot. Obama will under react, McCain over react. Whatever way we are buggered.

Well, in any case, the endorsement seems to have helped, as Obama has moved up in the polls in the past two days both with Zogby and Gallup. I'm beginning to think the Bill Ayers attacks are helping Obama as well due to backlash.
Back to the subject of this thread, I do think that winning the elderly Jewish vote in Florida is the key to carrying that state, and could put the national election in the bag. Jewish voters make up a strong block in the Tri-County area, which is heavily Democratic. The rest of the state is pretty much Republican, but South Florida has probably 60% of the state population. Up where David Lee is, in Central Florida, you could call it "right-center."
There is a large Jewish voting block in New York, New Jersey, and California as well, but those states are so overwhelmingly Democratic that they don't have the same power to swing the vote there. So, it's all about Florida.
I had a bit of Deja-Vu today when I saw a CNN report about the long early-voting line at the Broward County Courthouse in Plantation, a block and a half from my old apartment. It's where I used to vote, and where judges running for election or re-election would approach you for your vote as you waited. The CNN report even showed those judges out soliciting voters. I remember them well, and I've never seen anything like it elsewhere.

If Barack Obama wins, and IF it is combined with a Democratic Congressional and Senatorial gain...and especially if they end up with 60 Democratic Senators, it will represent the triumph of absolute good over absolute evil. 60 is a pretty long shot for the Senate, but 58 is very attainable and will be close to filibuster-proof on most bills. You can always chip away 2 or 3 Republicans to avoid filibusters.
