Just joking, folks! ;D
But I do think the false e-mail forwards and attack ads may have actually created a backlash and actually HELPED him!
I'm rather proud that the American People are no longer buying into Swiftboat attacks.

OBAMA: 63,042,806... MCCAIN: 55,821,650...
It will be interesting to see how many greenbacks the mints can turn out over the next 4 years.

Let's see, I think I've still got some old confederate dollars and leftover Euros from my last trip laying around here somewhere. Now where did I put those darn things? Hmmmm
We might not have to worry about greenbacks. I've heard rumors of a world monetary system.

I don't think Jesse & Barack like each other too much personally, but his son, Jesse Jr. may be tagged to replace Barack in the Senate.

No that is not at all what I mean but its open for interpretation. How long have you been black?
Funny how politics makes strange bed fellows. You are about to be beaten up by the Baptist Bible. Gay marriage in five states revoked is just a start.
Go figure.

It's a mixed bag. While many states voted down gay marriage, just as many voted down any controls on Abortion, including very conservative South Dakota.
Neither of these issues belong in politics.

Well Rick all kidding aside I am disgusted with both parties. Neither side took steps to control these wall street bandits. Now Ford and GM require mega bucks to stay afloat which will come back to us in taxes. I think we are in for a very rough ride.

And Rico, Obama was so articulate and warm and intelligent today. It's such a breath of fresh air, it's like... almost like I'm in American again. God Republicans and Baptists etc can be taken all to the plantations where then can report for duty as "workers", where no extraordinary measures will be taken when they blow their fat backs out and pacemakers act up etc. ><Tomasina ChicaWolverina!

I heard that it would mean a minimum of 2.5 million jobs lost. The money they need is miniscule to the banking bailout in any case. And if we bail them out, we can also get them to re-tool and start producing the types of cars we can only get from Japan now. Yes, it's their own damned fault for building cars no one wanted, but the workers are the best in the world.

Tell me this aint so,
Dems Target Private Retirement Accounts Democratic leaders in the U.S. House discuss confiscating 401(k)s, IRAs By Karen McMahan November 04, 2008 RALEIGH - Democrats in the U.S. House have been conducting hearings on proposals to confiscate workers' personal retirement accounts - including 401(k)s and IRAs - and convert them to accounts managed by the Social Security Administration.
Triggered by the financial crisis the past two months, the hearings reportedly were meant to stem losses incurred by many workers and retirees whose 401(k) and IRA balances have been shrinking rapidly.
The testimony of Teresa Ghilarducci, professor of economic policy analysis at the New School for Social Research in New York, in hearings Oct. 7 drew the most attention and criticism. Testifying for the House Committee on Education and Labor, Ghilarducci proposed that the government eliminate tax breaks for 401(k) and similar retirement accounts, such as IRAs, and confiscate workers' retirement plan accounts and convert them to universal Guaranteed Retirement Accounts (GRAs) managed by the Social Security Administration.
Rep. George Miller, D-Calif., chairman of the House Committee on Education and Labor, in prepared remarks for the hearing on "The Impact of the Financial Crisis on Workers' Retirement Security," blamed Wall Street for the financial crisis and said his committee will "strengthen and protect Americans' 401(k)s, pensions, and other retirement plans" and the "Democratic Congress will continue to conduct this much-needed oversight on behalf of the American people."

Where did you get this? Looks like a proposal made by someone testifying before the committee, but nothing Congress is taking seriously.

OK...it does look like something a witness proposed before a committee and nothing more. Since it was before the election, you can be sure the Republicans would have made a big election issue out of it otherwise.

I just bought a new Jeep Limited with cash. Got a great deal in this economy. But I'm going to take one step further. I'm going to sell my Volvo and buy a scooter. I don't see any reason, living in Florida, in my business in having two cars. I'm sick of driving and gas bullshit and Rick can attest to how shitty people drive down here! LOL! Yep I'm getting a scooter.

In all fairness, while it's true that Florida drivers are rude at least as compared with the West Coast, I've found most of the bad ones are transplants from the Northeast. Florida Natives, or folks from elsewhere in the country are pretty much OK.

Hey DL
Mom and Dad lived in Florida after Dads retirement from Otis since 78. It was a great place to visit. Still have an Uncle up on the Swanee River, outside Branford, Lafayette County. Fishing is still great but dont get there as much as Id like.
Your correct, time to conserve a bit and not buy offshore,
