Just when are you gonna start listening to me? Did you see today where my buddy Jeb is considering a run for Mel Martinez's senate seat in 2010? Considering? Yeah right! hehe
Told you......That gives him a maximum of six years to bring the conservative party back to where it belongs. I don't care how much you guys hate GW...this is a whole new ball game....what irony if the Republican party is renewed and reinvigorated by a Bush! LOL!
Now my challenge to you is to actually read up re; Jeb and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised as to just how different he is from his daddy and brother. Whatdayasay? Hmmm?

Well, I'm familiar with Jeb, of course. The main difference between Jeb and Dubya is competence. He was apparently Dad's pick to run for President or some higher office long before GW ran for Governor of Texas. GW kinda ruined it for him. But remember, when GW first ran for Governor of Texas, Jeb was defeated in his first run for Florida Governor that year. He only won the second time around.
I have little doubt Jeb can win Mel's Senate seat. I don't know if there are any Florida Democrats who have the gravitas to give in a serious challenge, although Debbie Wasserman-Schultz might, if she's interested. Another possible player could be Jim Davis, but he'd probably be too weak.
I don't think Jeb could succeed nationally in a run for President. There was a poll recently that showed him with little national support. As you say, much can change in 8 years, but not in 4.

Hey, Dave! I'm sure you were as surprised as me when Jeb dropped out of the running. The Senate Seat was probably his for the taking. Some politicos are speculating he doesn't want it because staying out would better position him for a 2012 Presidential run. I don't believe it, and Jeb has got to be saavy enough to know that there will be no more Bushes in the White House. So, his reasons must be poisonal!
This puts my side in a great position to get that 60th seat from Florida in 2010. Right now, I'm thinking that Debbie Wasserman-Schultz is the strongest candidate on the Dem side, since she's well-known and would probably take 90% of the Jewish vote. Do you agree? Charlie Crist is probably the strongest Republican candidate, but I think he'd probably rather run for reelection as Governor then, so who do you think is the best Repub candidate?
Davis might run for a Dem seat, but he was such a weak gubernatorial candidate I just don't see him running for anything in the future.

Ok Rick, today is your day so I won't burst your bubble. I know Jeb and your assumption is correct but for the wrong reason and it has nothing to do with his brother. However, enjoy your day and the best of luck to our new president. Oh, and keep drinking that grape punch and believing that there will never be another Bush in the White House......hehe
GOP? I would say right now Crist and maybe the current attorney general Bill McCollom although he has a bit of a problem with statewide elections. We shall see.....

Speaking of Bill Mccollom, have you ever noticed how much he resembles Art Bell? Mel Martizez really slandarized him, I thought, in the 2004 primary debates.
Another Bush in the White House? If it were possible, I'd say not Jeb, but his son "P." And, not for about 20 years.
