Somebody needs to start posting about it here, or I will, and you don't want me to do that in the state I'm in now about it! I mean it! ><Tomasina ChicaWolverina!

So, what state are you in, Chica?
There is one thought I had that no one's brought up on the talk shows yet. On Sunday, I saw Barack Obama on "Meet the Press," and he had a very interesting answer when Tom Brokaw asked him about whether he thought Caroline Kennedy should be appointed to fill Hillary's Seat in New York.
To paraphrase, he said something like, "Caroline Kennedy is a very dear friend of mine, but I can't be getting involved in New York politics when I have enough problems on my hand in Illinois."
I was wondering what problems he could possibly have in Illinois, but in retrospect, it sure looks like he knew there was an investigation he couldn't talk about and that something big was about to go down. Now, apparently Blagojevich was trying to shake him down for a cushy Washinton job for both himself and his wife in exchange for appointing the replacement of Obama's choice. He even said he was angry "the motherfucker" wouldn't give him anything for such a valuable appointment. Now, the last time I checked, appointing replacement Senators is the job of Governors in most states, and is something they're already paid to do.
Imagine trying to shake down an incoming President!
Blagojevich needs to resign immediately. I did some digging, and he would be replaced by Lt. Governor Pat Quinn, who would then appoint Obama's replacement. Quinn is a Democrat, so the Senate Seat would remain in Democratic hands, thank God!

Obama better be very carefull as his statement of no contact has been proved wrong. Not sure what you mean by "proof." The only suggestion came from an 11/23 interview with David Axelrod. See blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/12/questions-arise.htmlFitzgerald has said there is no evidence of contact, but there must have been some contact with is staff...maybe Rahm Emanuel. In any case, the tapes suggest that the "pay for play" demand was refused. I do think Obama knew something was going down when he said "I have enough problems in Illinois," on "Meet the Press," but he could also have been referring to the upcoming Rezco trial. One good thing, though. Even though the Repubs are salivating, there will NOT be years of "Whitewater" style hearings like during the Clinton administration.

This is not the time of Democrats nor Republicans or partisan politics. Its is the time for a steady hand at the tiller ,a government that finally listens to its people, with respecting the fact after that in all this chaos it was they (politicians) of both parties who created this problem and left it to the taxpayer to bail them and the country out.

No Rico, I meant my state of anger and disgust, even from all away across Lake Michigan. Our greatest and truest natural enemy now is the Neo-Con, all those who have brought about the K-Street Project, and the Reagan Revolution. They are the type of slime that has hastened the collapse of our morals and economy along with the absolutism of the church. We need mass show trials with a judge like Roland Freisler, to swing them over the bear pit and and make them admit with swollen bruised faces with their eyes so black and blue and swelled half shut in front of the courts what they conspired to do, and the truth shall be seen! They can start by getting this slob Jew Governor from Illinois to cough up his teeth and roll on his cronies and then he goes straight under the Fallbeil. These Republicans have been worse than even Communists in Cuba! ><Tomasina ChicaWolverina!

Isn't that what Obama did for his wife in Illinois when he was elected to the state house? Pay for play happens all the time it's just normally in the form of a campaign check. Why would any of us work on a campaign at the upper level if not for possible appointment consideration. This guy is just a bonehead who couldn't keep his mouth shut.
Having said all that....it Chicago for Christ's sake! What did you expect?

Who on Earth would be the 13% that are still for the guy is what I want to know! I unsubscribed from the Obama email newsletter today in protest to his recent right-wing mal-decisions and appointment to the cabinet! I told them why too! ><Tomasina ChicaWolverina!
