Saw this yesterday on MSNBC. I've got to admit that back when these guys were active, I thought of them as folk heros.

Proof that the US govt does what it wants, regardless of what American citizens say, or want....is the mass outcry all over the world to oppose the Iraq war...people peacefully protested in the streets...all over the world, and especially America.
Yet, the Bush administration ignored the MAJORITY of voices and did what they wanted to anyways.

Back in 1976, when most of the Weather Underground was on the lam, they put out a fairly successful documentary film where they explained what they'd done during the war. I do remember seeing it at a theatre in Redondo Beach, CA. I can't remember the name of it, but it's probably available on DVD somewhere. So, here you had wanted fugitives who, I recall, were actually nominated for an Oscar for "Best Documentary."
