That's the new Republican Congressional Campaign Slogan rolled out yesterday. But, they should have checked on line to see if anyone else has already used it.
Because it turns out that "the change you deserve" is also the marketing slogan for the anti-depressent drug, "Effexor."
Are the Republicans trying to tell us that the change we deserve is more drugs?

Or it could be as simple as the saying, "There is nothing new under the sun". And when they try to imply change, change to what?

Rico, I hope that this balanced and rational take on constitutional law from the California court to allow Gay marriage will be the bellwether to the end to this suffocating stranglehold that the neo-con, Christian/CSA, fascist right-wing evil spell that they've cast over the nation for the last few decades. Pray that OBAMA makes it and that they get caught and exposed the next time before they attempt to murder the next JFK! >< Tomasina ChicaWolverina!

I don't think it will be so easy to murder Obama if he's elected. If he's smart, he'll probably never expose himself to the danger. JFK would never have been killed if he hadn't been riding in an open car, and no president has done that yet. JFK also used to worry the secret service by strolling into a crowd of people to shake hands. They've made it much harder to get at these guys.
The California Ruling is based on the California, not the US, Constitution. And, California law allows the state constitution to be amended by the initiative process. So, you can bet they'll have a proposition on the November ballot to ban gay marriage there. And, even though Californians are pretty progressive, they'll probably ban it unless there's a lot of education on the subject.
Somehow, the right has managed to convince the sheeple that allowing same-sex marriage threatens their own heterosexual marriage. I think John Stewart personified the irrational fear when he quipped, "I'm totally against gay marriage, because if it were legal I'd be required to divorce my wife and marry a man." Of course, he's joking, but I can't help but think that an awful lot of people believe it's true.

Just a few thoughts.....
1. GOP slogan, when I read that I almost spewed my coffee on my laptop! That is the perfect example of the "inside the beltway mantra" of ready-shoot-aim!!! LOL!!!
2. The only person that is going to get shot is the next person who uses the word CHANGE!! Nothing is going to change. Sure the edges might get tweaked a bit but major change? Thats a big negatory!
3. Chica, my dear, Obama is about as far from JFK as a democrat can get. Try Jimmy Carter and your arrow will hit true.
That's my 2 cents worth.....

David, I do think Obama has a JFK image. I'm not saying they have a lot in common, other than the admiration of Caroline. But I certainly see him having more similarity to JFK than to Jimmy Carter!
