That diagnosis just came in. At age 76, it's hard to imagine him surviving this. I can't imagine the world without the last of the Kennedy Brothers in it.

Oh thats so sad...I think it was the state of the union address, where Bush was going on about the war, trying to sell the war, and the camera panned over to Ted Kennedy, actually nodding off to sleep! I liked him ever since. I mean, that was either a statement in itself, that *yawn* this is boring or that he didn't believe in what Bush was peddling...Is the tunor inoperable? Cause they have had success removing brain tumors in the past with many people....Remember Terrence Mckenna? He died of his brain tumor, but as I understand it, they are able to remove some of them.
I like TK....this is very sad news.

Well, it's cancerous, and they say it's a very aggressive cancer. It can be removed, I think, but it will spread. He's going to need a lot of chemo and radiation and at his age, that alone could kill him.

I think I saw him on the Colbert Report or something while in work and he's not looking so bad lately too, it's too bad. I hope he's able to talk and get that last book or something out, but by the looks of this he's out of the running. >< Tomasina ChicaWolverina!

Anyone here ever had a seizure? I had one once, but I knew it wasn't indicative of a bigger problem. It was about 20 years ago, and I was having an eye exam. The doc wanted to dilate my eyes so he could check for glaucoma. Anyway, I remembered having it done as a little kid and how much I hated it, but I figured I was just overreacting then because I was so young. So, I let him do it.
After the drops started working, the doc shined a bright light in my eyes, and the next thing I remembered I was lying on the floor with the doc waking me up. He said as soon as he shined the light in my eyes, I went right over on the floor into convulsions. I guess it lasted only a few seconds, and it scared the doc a lot worse than it scared me.
But, I couldn't see well for 3 days. I'll never let anyone dilate my eyes again.
When I heard Ted Kennedy had a seizure, but that it was not a stroke, I was afraid it had to be a tumor. Men his age just don't have seizures out of a clear blue sky with no history of epilepsy.
