Who invented the radio?
Hint #1: It's not who I, and probably you, learned it was in High School.
Hint#2: The complete answer is given by Morgan Freeman in the first 3 minutes of "The Bucket List."

My guess would be that Italian guy who's name begins with an M or Tesla?

My guess would be that Italian guy who's name begins with an M or Tesla? Both answers are right. Marconi was given credit for inventing radio, or wireless transmissions, and the history books still credit him. That's what I was taught in school. But Tesla patented wireless transmission in 1896, and his invention was stolen. He fought Marconi in court all his life, and was finally acknowledged by the Supreme Court right after his death in 1943. So, the real inventor is Tesla. By the way, has anyone seen a movie called "The Presige?" It's out on DVD now, and I highly recommend it. David Bowie does a great job playing Tesla in it!

Ooops...It's a typo. Yes, it's "The Prestige." It stars Hugh Jackman as an early 20th Century Illusionist similar to David Copperfield. He hires Nicola Tesla, played by David Bowie, to create a device that will make an illusion actually be the real deal. Lots of twists & turns, but I don't want to give it away! What's interesting is that so many of Copperfield's illusions are so mind-boggling that there are some who say they are not illusions at all, although he assures us that they are.

Oh Rico, I just finished watching a DVD of it a moment ago! Wow it's a sort of quirky-horror-scifi-historical I now know Prestige the movie itself is The Prestige! Five Stars! ***** I actually can't stand Copperfield for even a moment, he's such a... almost as kriminal as a say Tony Robbins for sharing our air, even worse than Barney or 700Club. And Penn & Teller make a complete can of hash out of him; bless those two boys. ><Tomasina ChicaWolverina!
